The Gift Of Dyslexia 

I'm the founder of Dyslexia Victoria and Melbourne.

I have been a teacher with more than 30 years and I have also had a very personal involvement with Dyslexia.

My daughter was 7 years old when she was diagnosed with Dyslexia and that is when my journey through the Dyslexic maze began.

 

For more than a decade my daughter and I worked our way through every available program and treatment recommended for Dyslexic people. We endeavoured to eliminate the confusion that language symbols caused her. My daughter's obviously high intelligence was not being reflected in her text based school work. She left school early as her entire school experience had been extremely negative.

 

I was at a Literacy conference at Melbourne University when I discovered Ron Davis' book, "The Gift of Dyslexia".

After reading this totally new approach to helping Dyslexic people, I was determined to undertake the Davis Facilitator Training Certification. I commenced training in San Francisco in 2000 and have been working with the Davis Dyslexia Correction Programs since then.

 

Over the years I have worked with a great many extremely satisfied people from all around Australia and overseas ranging from ages 5 to 76. I am always amazed by the powerful results achieved by these programs.
